Abstract
In the present text a comparative reading of two authors is made whose effort supposes the introduction of the body as a legitimately philosophical problem. We analyze this concept in the work of Maine de Biran and Schopenhauer, as well as the reconfiguration and its consequences in the foundation of contemporary philosophy.
