Abstract
En la presente investigación se busca ofrecer una hipótesis sobre una de las cuestiones fundamentales del ser humano: la posibilidad de la existencia del yo personal aún después de la muerte corporal. Através de una serie de argumentaciones estrictamente acordes a los datos de la experiencia, y al margen de fe religiosa alguna, se demuestra que el yo posee una fuente de unidad que porta una naturaleza que no puede ser explicada por la simple materia. El yo posee una razón de persistencia metaempírica y unidad indivisible que le permite unificar y trascender los múltiples cambios que se dan en su sustancia manteniendo así su identidad personal.
