Abstract
El presente artículo tiene por objeto estudiar los conceptos conocer y significar, conceptos que no llevan inmediatamente a relacionarlos, el primero, con las ciencias cognitivas y, el segundo, con la semiótica. Estas disciplinas, aparentemente, alejadas, sin embargo, no lo son tanto, ya que la semiótica filosófica siempre ha sido cognitiva y las ciencias cognitivas buscan por su parte producir conocimientos verdaderos apoyándose en lenguajes formales, como se podrá comprobar a partir de este trabajo.STOA is a biannual publication edited by the Institute of Philosophy of the Universidad Veracruzana, Tuxpan, No. 29, Frac.
